Manchester United have opened up a three point lead over their nearest rivals Arsenal in the title race . Manchester United beat a low rated Bolton by two goals with both the goals coming from Cristiano Ronaldo who broke the Manchester United record of most goals in a season by George Best. And he has more matches to come on to add his tally.
Manchester United made eight changes to the team that played against Derby last weekend. To much suprise Foster who had a good debut for his senior team was made to sit on bench and Kruzchak started the game. In the defence Ferdinand was replaced by Pique dude to an injury and Ferdi is doubtful for the weekend match against Liverpool. The midfield saw the stars from Hargreaves , Anderson , Ronaldo and Nani . The strikers were Carlos Tevez and Louis Saha .
Saha made his first start in his four matches .
Manchester United wer attacking right from the start of the game and found an early goal from Ronaldo which he converted from a corner from Nani in the ninth minute of the first half . Ten minutes later he netted the second goal of the match with his stunning freekick from 29 yards from goal and was quite good in the game. Nani too played a good role in the game and produced some attacking chances and if ti was not for the excellent performance by the Bolton keeper Manchester United would have won by a big margin . Saha was replaced by Rooney and Anderson by Scholes . Now Manchester United have three points over Arsenal and five point lead over third placed Chelsea. With eight games in hand Manchester United should find it no difficult to go on and win the championship .
